These comprehensive Retreats are an immersion into Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Krama, meditation and healthy living. In effect they are a condensed version of the full month long course – for students who would prefer a shorter, but enriching Yoga experience. They are a great introduction to Matthew’s teachings – for students of any level – whether beginner or more advanced. Each course involves workshops on different topics, in particular, self practice every morning, plus asana technique, pranayama, meditation, self inquiry and time for outdoor adventures.
Students of any level of ability are encouraged to attend. Most students will learn the Moon sequence and memorise it in self practice for the first few days, other students will focus on Ashtanga Yoga and the other sequences from Vinyasa Krama depending on your ability and prior learning.
Each 10 Day Retreat will have two, 3 hour sessions per day. The morning sessions will focus on pranayama and asana practice, based on Matthew’s teaching of Vinyasa Krama and Ashtanga Yoga. The evening sessions will allow for some time focused on different asana technique, depending on the questions each student brings. The majority of this time, however will be spent on the subtle aspects of yoga: self inquiry, yoga philosophy, pranayama and meditation.
Please ensure you are on time for the first and last class for the course, we have opening and closing ceremonies to begin and end each one. Your flights need to be adjusted accordingly.

A course refund will only be given 2 months or more prior to attendance, less a $100 USD admin fee.
If the course is full a refund is only possible if a replacement is found. Depending on the size of the waiting list, this is usually easy to manage.
